Lorna
I’m Lorna: a daydream artist, curious observer, and founder of The Meridian. I studied Economics and Political Science at Penn, but my curiosity keeps taking me across disciplines, cultures, and communities.
I kept walking into different rooms: classrooms and conference halls, startup offices and community gatherings. Each one was certain it saw the whole picture. Each one was brilliant in its own way.
Each also leaves something outside the frame.
The Meridian is where I turn those encounters into stories, connections, and possibilities worth exploring, so you can see across the rooms too, and find where you might contribute, belong, or build.

The Meridian begins as an independent editorial publication connecting ideas, institutions, and the people building organizations. Through founder stories, interviews, and essays, it makes emerging ventures understandable and helps readers discover where they could contribute.
Its long-term ambition is to grow into an entrepreneurial institution for young builders around the world: a place where people learn across borders, find collaborators, and turn ideas into contributions that matter.
Rooted in global citizenship, The Meridian aims to connect curiosity with participation: understanding the world, finding a place within it, and helping shape what comes next.
